Digitalization is more than just one of the industry’s buzzwords – it drives innovation and disruption across the entire logistics sector. For companies in the transport industry, it is both a guiding theme and an opportunity. Whether addressing regulatory requirements, improving efficiency, or enhancing safety, there are plenty of good reasons to embrace digitalization. But how can this transformation be successfully achieved in the context of ongoing digital progress?

Opinion leader and guide for the digital future

The advisory board “Digitale Transformation in Transport und Logistik”, which held its inaugural meeting at the transport logistic trade fair in Munich in May 2023, aims to set the right course and serve as a guiding framework for the entire industry. Founded on the initiative of VDO/Continental, entrepreneur and supervisory board member Frauke Heistermann, and Prof. Dr. Thomas Krupp from the Technical University of Cologne, the advisory board is designed to act as a thought leader and guide into the digital future, as well as a pioneer and role model for compliance in transport and logistics. In particular, it helps medium-sized freight forwarding companies derive

strategic actions and decisions based on concrete recommendations from the advisory board, thus paving the way for their digital transformation.

To achieve this, the board brings together leading minds from industry, logistics, academia, and practice — influential voices who shape opinion. teamtosse not only provides strategic consulting but also manages editorial production and project management — from topic planning and organizing meetings to media distribution.

Each session is supported by tailored communication measures: press releases, interviews, white papers, podcast episodes, and industry contributions at conferences ensure that the advisory board’s insights reach the right places — in the media, among industry professionals, and with key decision-makers.

MUNICIPAL MAGAZINE dialogix

MUNICIPAL MAGAZINE dialogix

For those with a strong messag and the aim of entering into a more meaningful dialogue with their target audience, developing and publishing their own magazine can be a worthwhile endeavor. The municipal magazine dialogix of the Initiative Logistikimmobilien (Logix), created in 2024 by teamtosse and published three times a year, shows how it can be done successfully.

Development of a communication format that

    • supplies municipalities with information on logistics developments, fostering an objective discussion and evaluation of logistics real estate

    SERVICE

Launching the municipal magazine dialogix, with each issue distributed to 800 municipal addresses across the country

The Initiative Logistikimmobilien (Logix) aims to improve the public perception of logistics real estate and thereby increase the acceptance of logistics developments within municipalities. Despite their essential role as pivotal hubs in the supply chains that ensure security of supply, logistics developments are not always welcomed positively.

To improve the image of logistics real estate and contribute to an objective discussion about logistics developments, the Logix Initiative relies not only on awarding the Logix Award for the best logistics real estate development of the past two years but also on publications, research, and dialogue with municipal stakeholders. Among other activities, Logix organizes live talk formats and participates in municipal forums.

Kommunenmagazin dialogix #1

Deepen the dialogue with municipalities

With the newly created municipal magazine dialogix, the initiative is taking a new approach by intensifying the dialogue especially with cities and municipalities.

teamtosse was responsible for conceptualizing the magazine and handles the planning, coordination, and a large part of the editorial work for each issue.

Three issues are published annually, each comprising 24 to 28 pages. The layout is high-quality and spacious, the texts informative yet concise and easy to read. With a strong visual focus, dialogix is designed to invite flicking through it. A total of 800 issues are distributed to municipal addresses across the country – directly reaching Logix’s relevant target audience: district administrators, mayors, city and municipal councils, administrations and building authorities, as well as economic development agencies receive the magazine.

Wide range of topic

Despite its focus on the world of logistics real estate, dialogix covers a wide range of topics. Each issue features a central theme addressing current industry topics, along with a news section, in-depth expert articles, short reports on exciting real estate projects, and interviews.

Previous magazine focuses have included ESG, brownfield developments, and the latest Logix study on municipal heat planning. Readers also receive an overview of current events, such as upcoming municipal forums.

MASTERING TOPIC MANAGEMENT

FOR PRESS SUCCESSFULLY

MASTERING TOPIC MANAGEMENT

FOR PRESS SUCCESSFULLY

Topic management in the daily and business press segment is a challenge that requires not only a keen sense for relevant issues but also thorough preparation and the cultivation of trusting relationships. A recent example from our teamtosse portfolio illustrates this perfectly.

    SERVICE

    • active topic management in regional daily and business press in North Rhine-Westphalia, with a focus on Düsseldorf
    • organization and execution of a press meeting on site

Anyone who wants their topics to gain visibility should not only provide content but also consider the context, target the right media outlets, and communicate in a media-specific way. This is because editors and journalists have limited time. A key success factor is differentiated media work: business media, daily newspapers, and trade magazines each serve different purposes and reach distinct audiences. The example of the press work around CTPark Düsseldorf clearly illustrates how this can be achieved in practice.

Projekt CTPark Düsseldorf
Projekt CTPark Düsseldorf
Projekt CTPark Düsseldorf

A project of great regional significanc

Since the end of 2024, our client CTP — Europe’s largest publicly traded owner, developer, and manager of logistics and industrial real estate — has been developing the multi-user park CTPark Düsseldorf in Düsseldorf-Rath, North Rhine-Westphalia. The 830,000-square-meter site was previously occupied by a factory of the pipe manufacturer Vallourec. With the new park, CTP aims to attract a broad target audience from industry and manufacturing, light industrial sectors, as well as research and development, complemented by office spaces and boarding house concepts. Furthermore, upon project completion, the area is planned to be accessible to local residents.

As is often the case with logistics developments, the project touches on key urban development issues such as land use, densification, and traffic, drawing significant public interest locally. For this reason, we proactively engaged with the regional press — in this instance, the Rheinische Post. The goal was to provide insights, create transparency, and enable a fact-based public discourse. This was based on thorough content preparation and direct personal contact with the responsible editor.

Adding value for the editorial team

The exchange led to the opportunity for an on-site meeting — a possibility that has become increasingly rare for editorial teams to explore a topic in depth. We accompanied Timo Hielscher, Managing Director M&A at CTP Germany, during a press meeting with the Rheinische Post, which took place during a tour of the site. This allowed the journalists to ask (sometimes critical) questions directly on-site, gain firsthand insights, and learn about CTP’s plans through direct dialogue — a genuine added value for the editorial team. The resulting article presents the current status of the project and also covers the developer’s perspective, including future use and the handling of listed historic buildings.

Lasting topic management

Once the relationship is established, it pays to stay engaged through various measures: this includes providing early updates on project progress and offering additional press and, if appropriate, background interviews. This way, strong connections with editorial teams can be built, keeping the topic visible and relevant.

EVENT MANAGEMENT

LOGIX CLUB 2025

Events are a key element of dialogue-oriented communication. When professionally organized, they attract attention and leave a lasting impression. Together with board member Claudia Boymanns, Messe München, teamtosse has developed a format for the Initiative Logistikimmobilien (Logix) that has established itself as a regular annual event among members for many years.

Events as communication channels operate on multiple levels: they offer the opportunity to make key topics tangible and provide a reason for media coverage and content creation. Beyond that, an event is a chance to nurture existing relationships and build new ones — whether with media representatives, clients, political stakeholders, or other key audiences. The foundation of a successful event lies in professional planning and execution: a clear objective, a well thought-out format, and a program tailored to the target audience are essential. The success of a networking event is demonstrated by the example of Logix Club 2025.

The Logix community: Together for increased acceptance

The Initiative Logistikimmobilien (Logix) brings together individuals and companies from the logistics real estate sector to counteract negative perceptions of these properties and to increase acceptance of logistics developments. Once a year, sponsors and partners of the initiative come together for networking and personal exchange at the two-day Logix Club event. In 2025, this event took place in Dresden.

Varied and engaging event program

For the planning, we worked closely with a local partner to develop a diverse and engaging program together. Thanks to their local expertise and strong connections in Dresden, we were able to offer the participants several highlights: The day began with a walk through the Pillnitz Castle Park. Those who preferred could cycle along the Elbe meadows, and as an alternative (in case of rain), a bus transfer was also arranged. Upon arrival, Countess Cosel delighted the participants with anecdotes from the court of Augustus the Strong — an encounter that left a particularly memorable impression on everyone. Afterwards, a steamboat cruise on the Elbe provided the perfect opportunity to try the Saxon specialty “Eierschecke” before the day concluded with a shared dinner at the Kurländer Palais.

Networking at the live cooking buffet

Delighting in food from the live cooking buffet, participants once again found numerous opportunities for networking and personal conversations. On the second day, the program included a guided tour through Dresden’s historic old town, with stops at the Frauenkirche, the Semperoper, and other notable sights. The event concluded with a tour of VW’s Gläserne Manufaktur, offering insights into the architecture and history of the site.

The success of Logix Club lies in its character, developed over the years, meticulous planning and execution, and strict adherence to budget guidelines.

For us, the greatest reward came afterward: many positive responses, both in person and via social media. Until next time in 2026!

PUTTING THE START-UP

IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Founders are new to the market and need visibility for their product, services, and brand. teamtosse had the opportunity to support the start-up invisium in communicating its first project partnership on the German market — find out how we made it a success.

    • press talks at the intralogistics trade fair LogiMAT

At the beginning of 2025, invisium — a start-up specializing in industrial image processing — was looking for a PR partner with industry expertise to support its first client project in the German market: equipping several central warehouses of Netto Marken-Discount with three VisionPorts. The multifunctional scanning system captures and tracks reusable load carriers such as EPAL pallets, freezer containers, EPS crates, and big boxes in just a few seconds. This enables more efficient monitoring of their use and return, reducing the need for new purchases and cutting costs. A real benefit for large food retailers — boosting warehouse efficiency while saving on personnel resources.

Communication support for the first project in the German market

invisium approached teamtosse with the goal of supporting its project partnership with Netto and increasing the start-up’s visibility in the trade media — with a focus on logistics and the food industry. At the same time, the project served as an opportunity to refine invisium’s core messages and USP. This allowed all communication activities to be even more precisely tailored to the relevant target audiences.

teamtosse conducted a workshop with Stefan Zweigler, founder and CEO of invisium, and developed a communication concept that defined the strategic foundation for all communication activities. Another key element was using invisium’s presence at the LogiMAT trade fair as an opportunity to arrange press talks — enabling the start-up to introduce itself to relevant trade media in direct, face-to-face conversations. The launch of the communication campaign hit the mark, generating exactly the right media buzz at exactly the right time ahead of invisium’s trade fair appearance.

Targeted and efficient communication

The talks generated opportunities for coverage focused on AI and the interplay between artificial intelligence and traditional image processing. Both the timing of the coverage and the emphasis on in-depth background discussions contributed to a breakthrough in invisium’s visibility within the trade media.

“As a start-up, we need targeted and efficient communication to raise awareness of our brand and services. That is exactly what teamtosse delivered in a very short time, strategically supporting invisium reliably and with high quality on the path to greater recognition among relevant target audiences. We are pleased to have teamtosse as an experienced partner by our side,” said Stefan Zweigler.
