The 18th Tag der Logistik (Supply Chain Day) took place on April 10, 2025. At a total of 103 events, 114 companies, organizations and institutes from the logistics sector opened their doors and provided free insights behind the scenes. Over 2,000 participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in otherwise hidden areas of logistics and experience the diversity of the industry live.

To increase the visibility of the sector, the Tag der Logistik was held for the 18th time on April 10, 2025. This year, 114 companies, organizations and institutes from all over Europe participated in the day of action. As part of 103 events, which were mainly held in Germany, but also in Ireland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Turkey and Ukraine, they opened their doors to the public – both on site and online – and offered anyone interested the opportunity to experience logistics free of charge. The Tag der Logistik attracted a total of 2,050 participants.

The highlights of this year’s day of action included guided tours of various Amazon logistics and distribution centers, a look behind the scenes at the Andreas Schmid Group and a bus tour through the port of Duisburg. At the career orientation event Vom Klicken bis zum Klingeln in the Rhine-County Neuss, which took place for the twelfth time on a Tag der Logistik, pupils from the 8th to the 13th grade had the opportunity to find out about the diverse career prospects in the logistics industry and gain insights into the exciting job profiles.

There was also plenty to discover online: for example, Inform GmbH held a webinar using practical examples from companies from various industries to show how smart technologies can be used to improve delivery capability, reduce unnecessary costs and make processes more transparent, efficient and resilient. “This year’s Tag der Logistik was a complete success. We were able to offer over 300 visitors and numerous media representatives an exciting insight into the world of modern logistics at several of our logistics locations across Germany. Participants were particularly impressed by the interplay between our dedicated employees and innovative technologies – be it automated warehousing, intelligent transport management or efficient last-mile delivery. These insights have shown why logistics is

one of the most exciting industries of the future and the wide range of career opportunities it offers,” says Lars Krause, Regional Director Customer Fulfillment in the German Amazon network. The world’s leading online retailer was not only involved in 2025 with guided tours of its logistics and distribution centers but also supported the campaign day as a premium partner for the fourth time in a row.

A virtual press conference on the resilience of supply chains was held the day before to set the mood for the Tag der Logistik. Dr. Klaus Wohlrabe, Deputy Director of the ifo Center for Macroeconomics and Surveys, presented the results of a survey on the supply chain strategy of German companies for the first time in a public setting. In addition, Prof. Dr. Christian Kille from the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt, who is a member and spokesperson for the Logistikweisen, added to the discussion with his analysis of the current market situation and the outlook for the rest of the year.

The next Tag der Logistik will take place on April 16, 2026.
